By accessing or using Infera (“the Service”), operated by Infera Biosystems, Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Infera provides a platform for converting natural-language scientific protocols into validated, machine-readable workflows. The Service includes protocol parsing, validation, orchestration, and integration with laboratory instruments and data systems. It also includes BioBase, our desktop application. BioBase connects to your Infera account, sends file contents needed for requests to third-party model providers, and runs analysis code in a cloud analysis environment as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
You retain all rights to protocols, workflows, and data you upload to the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content. We use your data solely to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Infera does not guarantee that validated protocols will be free of errors in all execution environments. Users are responsible for final review and verification of all workflows before execution. Review analysis code, results, and other Data Agent output before relying on them. BioBase is not a clinical system; do not submit identifiable patient data. These Terms do not limit rights that applicable law does not permit us to limit.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Infera shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, reagents, or instrument time.
You may install and use BioBase to access the Service under these Terms. Open-source components remain subject to their respective licenses. BioBase checks for updates when it starts and periodically while it runs. It downloads available updates in the background and installs them when you quit and reopen the app. By using BioBase, you agree to receive these updates.
Published subscription prices are in US dollars. Free includes 500 credits per week at $0. Plus is $35 per month with 5,000 weekly credits; Pro is $100 with 20,000; Max is $250 with 50,000; Organization is $3,000 with 210,000. Enterprise pricing and allowances are set by contract.
Paid plans are billed monthly. The weekly allowance refreshes in a seven-day window anchored to the instant the Infera subscription began. Unused weekly credits do not roll over. Analysis pauses when both the allowance and prepaid balance are empty, although a request already running may complete.
Storage includes 15 GB, where 1 GB equals 1,073,741,824 bytes. Storage above this amount uses your allowance and then your prepaid balance at the storage rate in effect when the storage is used. A paid upgrade raises the current weekly allowance. A downgrade or subscription status change applies to allowances at the next weekly window.
You can purchase prepaid overage in amounts of $25, $100, or $250, before tax. Your prepaid balance is shown in US dollars and represents the unused pre-tax purchase value. It is a separate balance used automatically after the weekly allowance. It remains available across weekly resets until used and does not enlarge or reset your weekly allowance. A later change to purchase amounts does not reprice an existing balance.
An account administrator may authorize automatic purchases of a chosen amount when both the allowance and prepaid balance are exhausted. A saved card alone does not authorize this. The administrator sets a monthly cap or selects Unlimited; replacing the card requires fresh authorization. The cap counts gross charges, including tax, in a UTC calendar month.
A failed payment or a request for customer authentication pauses automatic purchases. If we stop offering the authorized amount, automatic purchases pause until an administrator authorizes a current amount.
A refund removes, and an unresolved dispute withholds, the unspent value of that purchase. If a dispute is resolved in Infera's favor, only withheld value that has not been consumed is restored. If it is resolved in the customer's favor, that value stays removed. After a refund of an automatic purchase, or a dispute over an automatic purchase resolved in the customer's favor, automatic purchases resume only after support review.
Paid subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel. We charge your payment method at the subscription price in effect for that renewal, subject to the notice requirements in section 12. Prices exclude taxes. We charge applicable taxes where we are required to collect them and show them before payment.
Cancel through the billing portal. If you cannot access the portal, contact hello@infera.bio to request cancellation. Cancellation stops the next renewal; access continues for the remaining paid subscription period.
Subscription payments are non-refundable except as stated in these Terms or required by law. If we terminate a subscription for our convenience, we refund you pro rata for the unused paid term. Mandatory cancellation and refund rights remain unaffected. Contact hello@infera.bio about a purchase or refund request.
We give at least 30 days' advance notice of a subscription price increase. We will not increase the price during your current paid subscription period. You may cancel before renewal at the higher price. If you do not cancel, the new price applies at that renewal, subject to any consent required by law. Where law requires a separate notice or a particular delivery window, we also provide that notice and cancellation instructions.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
