An AI agent for biological research

Go from a research question to a working analysis. BioBase writes and runs code with your data and tools, while you review the work and decide what to explore next.

Windows · Free during the beta

Work with your own data

Give the agent a project folder to work in. BioBase reads your files and saves analysis outputs in that directory.

Put your tools to work

Delegate an analysis to an agent that runs your installed tools. Follow the commands in the terminal and take over when you need to.

Explore the results

Inspect molecular structures alongside your analysis. Explore genomic results or examine sequence files in the built-in viewers.

How it works

Start with a question you want to answer

  1. 01

    Choose your project

Open the folder that contains your data. This is where the agent works and saves its outputs.

  2. 02

    Set the task

Describe what you want to find out. The agent plans an analysis using the tools you have enabled.

  3. 03

    Guide the analysis

Follow the work as commands run on your machine. Stop a run or adjust the approach as your question develops.

  4. 04

    Examine the result

Open the outputs in BioBase to inspect the findings. Use what you learn to direct the next analysis. Cloud backup and sync are optional.
